When I was a little kid, I gardened with my grandparents.
As a parent, I’m pretty sure my grandparents wouldn’t recognize a lot of the ingredients that are in our kids’ food.
Being a human who needs to eat, and knows how to grow food for the families in our neighborhood, I believe in good stewardship of the soil, regenerative, biodynamic agriculture, and connecting fresh local produce with people who eat! 😉 That means, you!
Seriously though, I’ve lived in Racine most of my life, other than the 7 years I lived in Chicago. I’ve seen neighborhood markets replaced by supermarkets, supermarkets replaced by big box stores, and both supermarkets and big box chains leaving food deserts in their wake.
Help me fix that.
